Predator Sport Pool Cue Stick

This cue is crafted with a black maple butt with the Predator S name and logo on the forearm. The truly unique feature of this cue is the super tacky sport grip wrap. This wrap offers moisture control to encourage a looser grip and better mechanics overall. The grip is made with three layers: A polyurethane layer that breathes and lets the grip absorb and release moisture; a comfortable padding and a sealant to keep moisture from penetrating the black maple wood.

What we've got here is the base model 2nd Generation Ikon. Straight grain maple, black stain, Luxe leather wrap and of course the 314 shaft that comes standard on every IKON pool cue. It ain't fancy, but it gets the job done.

In the 2nd Generation IKON 3, you have a story of contrasts. Deep rich ebony in the forearm helps set off the arrowhead style Micarta points. Throw in some nickel silver rings, a black leather wrap and the high water mark that is the 314 shaft and you have a seriously good looking cue with top shelf performance.

I do love me some turquoise, so you can imagine how happy I was when I first laid eyes on the new IKON 4. The ebony wood and the Micarta inlays are nice, but the real deal here is the turquoise. Because of how strong the look of turquoise is, you need to show restraint when using it and you need to set it against an equally strong color. Inlaying turquoise against ebony with the white Micarta is absolute genius. As with all IKON cues, you also get the black leather Luxe wrap and the low deflection 314 shaft.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about! The 2nd Generation IKON 5 features some absolutely stunning Gabon Ebony in the forearm and sleeve along with Micarta, grey pearl and genuine turquoise inlays to go with the standard black leather Luxe wrap and Predator 314 shaft.

When it comes to cue design, the guys at Predator seriously know their stuff. The 2nd Generation IKON 6 features a Gabon Ebony forearm with Micarta and Red Pearl points accented with gray pearl diamonds. As with every IKON cue, you also get the 314 low deflection shaft and a beautiful black leather wrap.

The theme for the new IKON series definitely seems to be ebony, as the 2nd generation IKON 7 once again puts this fantabulous wood to good use. While ebony makes up the background, the real star here is Malachite. Malachite is used quite a bit in jewelry thanks to its stunning green hue (that and its far more reasonable than emeralds). With this pool cue, you get genuine Malachite inlays in the forearm and the shaft, both outlined with contrasting white Micarta. Lookin' good Predator, lookin' damn good.

I've gotta say, I do love it when cue makers use exotic wood. Like many of the other cues in the series, the 2nd Generation IKON 8 uses quite a bit of Gabon Ebony in the forearm and butt. The real treat here though is the inlays. Snakewood and tulipwood are inlaid throughout the cue along with white Micarta.

Ok, of all the IKON cues, this one is totally the bee's knees. Elegant Gabon Ebony is used to offset the generous genuine Turquoise and Micarta diamond inlays that can be found throughout the forearm and the shaft. This one is truly the crown jewel of the series.
